Deathcore-jyrä Assemble the Chariotsin vokalisti jättää yhtyeen

Kotimaisen deathcore-yhtye Assemble the Chariotsin vokalisti Kristo Sundström on ilmoittanut jättävänsä yhtyeen ja vetäytyvänsä samalla musiikkipiireistä ainakin hetkellisesti. Sundström liittyi yhtyeen riveihin 2011 ja julkaisi kokoonpanon kanssa kaksi EP:tä nimeltä ”The Sulphur Voids” ja ”World Architects”. Voit lukea hänen tiedotteensa tästä:

After a long period of uncertainty and doubt i have finally come to the decision that after today i will be stepping down from the lead vocalist position in Assemble the Chariots. Now, many of you will probably start speculating for the reasons of my departure from the band due to recent events, but let me assure you this is not a heat of the moment decision but rather one that took me years to decide.

Being in ATC has been…interesting. When i first joined i was taken by their technical skills and the song ”Necrophilia” blew me away, but things chance and people change and i have come the conclusion that i am not the right person to be in Assemble the Chariots.

A mix between professional and personal difference in opinions and other long term things have contributed to this decision, i felt it to be best that the band continues onwards with someone else leading the helm.

What it all basicly boils down to is how we wanted to act and work as a band and after a prolongued period of working against my own style this was an relatively easy decision.

Now, i know how the internet works and that people will read that as in ” Oh he’s blaming the band for everything” but infact quite the opposite, they had their ways of doing things and i had mine, in the end i didnt want to work like that and like with every job, if you are unhappy you should leave.

This decision is best for me personally and profecionally for Assemble. I will take a hiatus from music as i have been in bands for the better part of 14 years and i feel like i need to search myself a bit to find what i want to do in terms of music.

But as in all things even bad news comes with a silver lining, now all you great growlers and screamers have your chance to hop on board one of the biggest Extreme core metal bands in Finland!

I do feel this is an end of an era so to speak but i feel that this is 100% the right thing to do and best for all participating parties.

So to all the wonderfull people i had the pleasure of working over the years, and all the fantastic people in the crowds and moshpits, i salute you and i thank you for you have given me the best memories a metal head like me could hope for, you are the MVP :)
