Slayerin Tom Araya sai oman patsaan Ukrainalaiseen eläintarhaan

Yhdysvaltalaisen thrash metal -legenda Slayerin laulaja-basisti Tom Araya on saanut hieman tavallisesta poikkeavan kunnianosoituksen. Mies on nimittäin saanut Ukrainalaiseen Dimidivin kylässä sijaitsevaan ”XII Months” -eläintarhaan oman patsaan, joka kattaa hänen itsensä lisäksi yhtyeen logon sekä lainauksen ”Dead Skin Mask” -kappaleesta.

Patsas valmistui 28. toukokuuta yli kuukauden työn jälkeen. Eläintarha esittelee tuotoksen ylpeänä Facebookissa:

Patsaaseen kaiverrettu ”In the depth of a mind insane / Fantasy and reality are the same” -teksti on lainaus Slayerin ”Dead Skin Mask” -kappaleesta, joka on peräisin vuonna 1990 ilmestyneeltä ”Seasons in the Abyss” -levyltä.

XII Months on Ukrainan ainut ympäri vuoden avoinna oleva eläintarha ja esittelee itsensä seuraavasti:
