Foo Fighters, Coldplay ja U2 peruivat keikkojaan Pariisin terrori-iskujen seurauksena

Pariisin terrori-iskut ovat saaneet eturivin rock-yhtyeitä perumaan tai siirtämään keikkojaan. Ainakin Foo Fighters, Coldplay ja U2 ovat ilmoittaneet aikataulumuutoksista kunnioittaakseen iskujen uhreja. Voit lukea yhtyeiden viralliset tiedotteet aiheesta täältä.

Foo Fighters on ilmoittanut peruvansa loput Euroopan kiertueen keikkansa Italiassa, Ranskassa ja Espanjassa. Bändi kertoi asiasta Facebook-sivullaan lauantai-aamuna:

”It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour. In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can’t continue right now. There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one.”

U2 on lykännyt konserttejaan jotka oli määrä järjestää Pariisissa 14.-15. marraskuuta. Näin yhtye kommentoi asiaa omilla kotisivuillaan:

”We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight.

Coldplay taas on lykännyt striimattavaksi tarkoitettua konserttiaan, joka oli määrä järjestää Los Angelesissa perjantai-iltana. Uusia kappaleita sisältänyt setti soitetaan ja striimataan myöhemmin uudelleen. Yhtye soitti lyhyen vanhoja kappaleita sisältäneen setin jo paikalle saapuneille faneilleen perjantaina.
