Insomniumin Niilo Sevänen muistelee ”Weather The Storm” -singlen julkaisua tuoreella videolla

Kotimainen melodisen death metalin tunnetuimpiin nimiin kuuluvan Insomniumin laulaja-basisti Niilo Sevänen on paljastanut Bandbondin videolla, että vuonna 2011 päivänvalon nähnyt ”Weather The Storm” -kappale on yhtyeen uran tärkeimpiä. Erikoisen kappaleesta tekee sekin, ettei sitä alun perin julkaistu yhtyeen ”One For Sorrow” -albumilla, vaan digisinglenä sekä vasta albumin vinyylijulkaisulla vuonna 2018. Kappaleella kuullaan vierailevana laulajana ruotsalaisen Dark Tranquillity -yhtyeen Mikael Stannea, ja Seväsellä onkin kerrottavanaan tarina siitä, kuinka yhteistyöhön päädyttiin levy-yhtiö Century Median toiveesta. Hän kertoo:

”Century Media signed us in 2010 and we had a tour coming with Dark Tranquillity, at the time it was going to be our biggest tour. It was five weeks in Europe. Because we were new to Century Media they wanted to promote us and the tour, I think it was their idea that we should do a song and ask Mikael to feature on it. We quickly composed the song and it came out pretty good. Mikael did the guest vocals. He sang couple of verses, then we both sang the chorus. We performed it on this tour at least in London because we filmed the video there. Tour was great, we had such a good time with Dark Tranquillity, and we became good friends with them. Such good memories from that time.”
