Max Cavalera ei ole yhteydessä entisiin Sepultura-bändikavereihinsa: ”Se on kuin entinen vaimo jonka kanssa et halua olla enää tekemisissä”

Brasialainen metallilegenda Max Cavalera on julkaisemassa superkokoonpano Killer Be Killedin kanssa seuraavan, ”Reluctant Hero” -nimisen albuminsa marraskuun 20. päivä Nuclear Blastin kautta. Cavalera on antanut albumista RRBG Podcastille haastattelun, jossa on kertonut levyn teosta ja samassa yhteydessä myös suhteistaan entisiin bändikavereihinsa Sepulturassa. Cavalera kertoo haastattelussa välien entisiin bändikavereihin olevan rinnastettavissa hajonneeseen avioliittoon, jossa et halua olla tekemisissä entisen puolisosi kanssa. Hän kertoi väleistään Andreas Kisseriin ja Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr.:n seuraavaa:

”Not really. When [we went our] separate ways, it’s a bit like — I’ve never been divorced, but I assume that would be what a divorce is like. You don’t really wanna see your ex-wife, and you don’t wanna keep tabs on who she’s dating or whatever. So I don’t really follow them. Whatever they do, it’s all right by me, man. I’ve got so much on my plate, I’m plenty busy here that I don’t need to be looking at them, be measuring what they are doing to what I am doing. In the end, I think things just kind of went that way.

I’m super proud of the time we had together. We made some magnificent records, man — stuff that influences people forever. I’m in contact with a lot of young, upcoming bands that really love the old stuff — guys from CREEPING DEATH and NECROT, they always mention especially the early era [of SEPULTURA]: ’Bestial Devastation’, ’Morbid Visions’, ’Beneath The Remains’, of course, ’Arise’. So it’s cool to know that we did those records. But there’s so much more to do.”
