Queenin Brian May kertoo olevansa onnellinen siitä, että hän on ylipäätänsä enää elossa terveyshuolien jäljiltä

Julkaisimme sivustollamme hiljattain uutisen, jossa kerroimme englantilaisen rocklegendan Queenin kitaristin Brian Mayn saaneen hiljattain lievän sydänkohtauksen sekä vatsalaukun verenvuodon, joista toipuminen on ollut muusikolle hidas prosessi.

Nyt Brian May on kommentoinut omaa terveydentilaansa tuoreessa Good Morning Britainin haastattelussa, jossa hän on todennut olevansa todella onnekas että on ylipäätänsä enää elossa terveysongelmiensa seurauksena. Mayn mukaan vatsalaukun verenvuoto oli muusikolle pahempi kokemus kuin lievä sydänkohtaus, ja se oli lähempänä viedä muusikon hengen. May kommentoi terveyshuoliaan seuraavasti:

”The worst thing that happened was the stomach hemorrhage, and I lost an awful lot of blood all at one time and just was wiped out. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t get across the floor. That was the worst point for me. But I had a bit of a bad time all-round – it sounds amusing really. A catalog of disasters.

The heart attack I suffered was about 40 minutes of pain in the chest and tightness, and that feeling in the arms and sweating and not something that did me any harm. I had a wonderful, wonderful surgeon, and I’m so grateful to be alive. I had three stents in me, which are working just fine, and I feel good.”
