Ragnarokin perustajajäsen ja entinen basisti Tom Richardsen on kuollut (1977 – 2017)

Norjalaisen black metal -yhtye Ragnarokin entinen basisti Tom ”Jerv” Richardsen on kuollut huhtikuun 29. päivä. Bändin perustajajäsen Richardsen menehtyi auto-onnettomuudessa vain 40-vuoden iässä.

Ragnarokin rumpali John ”Jontho” Thomas julkaisi toukokuun 12. päivä kirjoituksen entisestä bändikaveristaan. Kyseisenä päivänä Tom Richardsen haudattiin Sarpsborgissa.
Jontho oli luvannut pitää Ragnarokin liekin yllä ja jatkaa bändin vuonna 1994 alkanutta tarinaa. Hän myös kiittää kaikkia tuesta.

”It is with much sadness and a broken heart that I have to inform all of our fans that Tom Richardsen (Jerv), the co-founder of Ragnarok, passed away on the 29.04.2017.
He was killed in a car accident in the early hours of the morning of the 29th April 2017 at only 40 years of age.”

”I promised Tom when he quit the band in 2005 that I would keep the flame burning, and continue what we started back in August 1994. But it never crossed my mind that one day I would have to write this statement and feel the sorrow that I feel today.
Because today, on the 12 May 2017, we all said our farewells to him during a beautiful and incredibly moving funeral here in Sarpsborg.”
