Slipknotista ja Stone Sourista tunnettu laulaja Corey Taylor julkaisee tämän viikon perjantaina uransa ensimmäisen sooloalbumin nimeltä ”CMFT” RoadRunner Recordsin kautta. Corey on antanut albumistaan Triviumin Matt Heafylle videohaastattelun, jossa on puhunut sooloalbuminsa lisäksi mm. siitä, kuinka tärkeää hyvän ensivaikutelman antaminen on ihmisille joita hän tapaa elämässään muusikkona. Corey kertoi sen vievän tasan viisi sekuntia aikaa, kun kasaa itsensä, vaikka olisi huono päivä, ja antaa näin fanille ikuisesti muistettavan kokemuksen. Corey kertoi aiheesta seuraavaa:

”This sort of re-enforces my mantra. It takes five extra seconds to get together and be cool to whoever is there. Whether it is a fan, peer or whoever. It takes just those extra seconds to get yourself together to make someone´s life for the rest of their life.”

Corey epäilee ystävällisyyden olevan yksi iso syy siihen, miksi hän on yhä suosittu musiikkibisneksessä. Corey avasi omia ajatuksiaan aiheesta seuraavasti:

”That is one of the reasons I think we are still here is because we realize that. There are a lot of people who put themselves on the stool and expect people to kiss their ass. They expect people to treat them certain way and when they are not treated that way they lose their minds instead of being able to relate to people. As soon as you do that you stop being able to relate to people. You stop having a normal conversation. That is incredibly sad, dehumanizing and it makes no sense when you are trying to make music. There is certain amount of humanity that needs to go to the creativity.

If you lose who you are you lose respect and you lose creditability.”
