Valient Thorrilta rajua kritiikkiä Napalm Recordsia kohtaan
Yhdysvaltalainen heavy metal -bändi Valient Thorr ei ole niin sanotusti tyytyväinen Napalm Recordsin toimintaan. Hiljattain bändin keulakuva Valient Himself kritisoi rajusti levy-yhtiötä MetalSucksin podcastissa. Napalm Records julkaisi viime vuonna bändin seitsemännen albumin ”Old Salt”.
Valient Himselfin mukaan Napalm Records ei ole tukenut bändiä lainkaan viimeaikaisilla kiertueilla, eikä se ole myöskään mainostanut bändin albumia ennen levyn julkaisua. Kaikki bändin keikkatulot ovat valuneet suoraan matkustuskustannuksiin.

”It’s unfortunate that we have a label that doesn’t really give a shit about us. Because that record came out August 30th of last year, and we did three tours in Europe around it and this tour right here [the annual ‘Vans Warped Tour‘] is the first one we’ve done in the States. So it would be nice if we’d had some kind of push from the label… I think it was like one of those… I don’t know if it’s a tax scam or what… but we didn’t sell like ten or fifteen thousand records the first day or something, so they don’t give a damn about us.”
Bändin terveiset Napalm Recordsille ovat melko tylyt:
”This is our first and last record with them. They can go fuck themselves.”
