Destruction aloitti rahoituskampanjan uutta kokoelmalevyä varten

Saksalainen thrash metal -veteraani Destruction on aloittanut PledgeMusicin kautta rahoituskampanjan uutta ”Thrash Anthems II” -nimistä albumiaan varten. Albumi on jatkoa 2017 ilmestyneelle alkuperäiselle ”Thrash Anthems” -kokoelmalevylle, joka koostui uudelleen nauhoitetuista versioista yhtyeen klassikkokappaleista. Uudella albumilla ovat mukana mm. kappaleet ”United By Hatred”, ”Confused Mind” sekä ”The Ritual”. Nuclear Blastille levyttävä yhtye haluaa toteuttaa uuden albuminsa yhteistyössä faniensa kanssa ja projektia tukemalla on mahdollisuus päästä käsiksi mm. exclusiiviseen paitamalliin sekä nimmareilla varustettuun kopioon levystä. Yhtyeen nokkamies Schmier kertoo:

”Re-animating some old classics was already a great challenge on the “THRASH ANTHEMS” record that we did some years ago.”

”A lot of young thrashers especially enjoyed the freshening up of the 80’s material. As we took a lot of those songs into the setlist again after the recordings, it also had a big impact on the band. Without that first “Thrash Anthems” record, some old pearls would have never made it back into the setlist again.”
