Jussi 69 kiidätettiin teho-osastolle kesken keikan: hengenlähtö lähellä
Ystävyyteen ja yhteiseen rakkauteen 80-luvun hardrockia kohtaan perustuva superkokoonpano The Local Band esiintyi elokuun 17. päivä Helsingin Nosturissa. Keikka päättyi kuitenkin ikäviin tunnelmiin, kun The 69 Eyesistakin tuttu rumpali Jussi69 menetti tajuntansa ja hänet kiidätettiin sairaalaan teho-osastolle, missä hän vietti viikon. Hän kertoo Ilta-Sanomille:
”Mulla meni siellä taju, enkä saanut hengitettyä ollenkaan. Mut vietiin suoraan teholle.
”Se oli joku kuolemanosasto. Mä vaan katsoin, kun vieressä oli tyyppejä, joille vedettiin lakana päälle.
”Sydäntäni tarkkailtiin, olin viikon happilaitteissa, letkuissa ja rasitustestejä tehtiin. Mulla oli keuhkot ihan täynnä vettä. Koko kroppa oli kerännyt 15 kiloa nestettä.
”Lääkäri sanoi, että poikkeuksellisen hyvä peruskuntoni pelasti henkeni.
”Myönsin lekurille, että me muusikot olemme jääräpäitä. Tämä homma on olevinaan elämää tärkeämpää, terveydenkin uhalla mennään. Nyt sanoin lääkäreille, että te kerrotte koska voin soittaa.”
Miehellä on keikkoja tiedossa tiuhaan tahtiin, ja hänen onkin tarkkailtava jaksamistaan huolelisemmin. The 69 Eyes esiintyy perjantaina Kuopiossa ja lauantaina Jyväskylässä. Myös The Local Band esiintyy samana päivänä Jyväskylän WaterXFest-tapahtumassa. Jussi kertoo:
”Mulla on tiedossa kolme keikkaa vuorokauden sisällä.”
Mies kommentoi tapausta myös Facebookissa:
”Ok now, i´m sure the crowd at The Local Band show noticed that i wasn´t ok. I was taken straight to emergency hospital. I had to wear oxygen mask ´cause i couldn´t breath, my lungs was full with water. Stayed there for a week, they took like hundred tests and i was under control nonstop. I can tell you it was not a picnic trip
I´m ok now and the doctors gave me permission to go back and kick ass, so see you at Kuopio on friday and WaterXfest on saturday where i´ll have doudle duty, first the 69 Eyes show and then The Local band.
I´m fine now and ready to rock so you don´t need to worry.
