Alice Cooper julkaisi koskettavan kirjoituksen Meaf Loafista: ”Hän oli yksi rockmusiikin parhaista äänistä”
Julkaisimme sivustollamme aiemmin tällä viikolla uutisen, jossa kerroimme yhdysvaltalaisen rokkarin Meat Loafin menehtyneen koronaan 74-vuoden iässä.
Meat Loaf muistetaan erityisesti vuonna 1977 ilmestyneestä klassikkolevystään ”Bat Out of Hell”. Meat Loaf julkaisi urallaan 12 albumia, joista viimeisin on vuonna 2016 ilmestynyt ”Braver Than We Are”.
Musiikkiuransa lisäksi rokkari tuli tunnetuksi myös näyttelijänä. Hän esiintyi uransa aikana esimerkiksi elokuvissa Fight Club ja The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Nyt Meaf Loafin pitkäaikainen ystävä, kauhurockin ikoni Alice Cooper on julkaissut oman koskettavan muistokirjoituksensa ystävänsä poismenon johdosta. Cooper kertoo kirjoituksessaan Meat Loafin olleen todella ainutlaatuinen muusikko, jonka saappaita ei tule kukaan koskaan täyttämään. Voit lukea kirjoituksen tästä.
”Meat Loaf was one of the greatest voices in Rock N Roll, and he was certainly one of my closest friends in the business. He was really so much fun, truly fun to be around. He just felt like a best friend to everyone no matter how long it had been since you last saw him.
”We worked together many times over the years and he was always a force,” he continued. ”He was a real theatrical character like I was so our shows went really well together. I remember when you would see his show, he would treat the audience almost like a Pentecostal Preacher and he was so powerful on stage.
