Anthraxin Frank Bello: ”Soittaisimme mielellämme lisää Big Four -keikkoja”

Yhdysvaltalaisen thrash metal -veteraani Anthraxin basisti Frank Bello kertoo tuoreessa Teamrockillee Bloodstock-festivaaleilla antamassaan haastattelussa yhtyeensä olevan kiinnostunut soittamaan lisää Big Four -erikoiskeikkoja, ja toteaa 2010 soitettujen keikkojen olleen uransa kohokohta. Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth ja Anthrax soittivat tuolloin yhdessä neljä konserttia Sonisphere-festivaaleilla. Bello kommentoi aihetta seuraavasti ennen yhtyeensä keikkaa Englannissa järjestetyillä festivaaleilla:

“Thrash was an all for one thing, really. That’s what the Big Four was about. We’d love to do more Big Four shows.”

Kysyttäessä kuinka todennäköistä on, että Big Four -keikkoja soitetaan tulevaisuudessa lisää, Bello vastasi:

“There are two people to ask – James Hetfield and Lars. Those are the guys. They know the rest of us will fall in line.

”We’ll definitely be there if they want because that was the highlight of our career, for everybody. It was a celebration of this music and we’d be there in a heartbeat.”

Vaikkei erikoiskeikkoja tulisikaan lisää, Bello kertoo olevansa erittäin tyytyväinen uraansa Anthraxin riveissä:

”To be able to do this now, at this level, we’re very excited about it.”

Myös Megadeth-nokkamies Dave Mustaine kertoi 2014 olevansa kiinnostunut soittamaan lisää Big Four -konsertteja:

“There’s something special about it being very rare, so I would do it again, but it also has to work out for everybody.”
