Ceresian Valot julkaisi ”Pohjavirtauksia”-singlen tulevalta albumiltaan
Ghost Brigaden jäsenistöstä koostuva Ceresian Valot on julkaissut uuden ”Pohjavirtauksia”-singlen tulevalta albumiltaan. Yhtyeen ”Uumen”-albumi julkaistaan 23. toukokuuta Prophecy Productionsin kautta.
Kitaristi Wille Naukkarinen kertoo:
”The heavy, sludgy, even a bit progressive but also very melodic track ’Pohjavirtauksia’ is one of the most recent songs that I wrote for ’Uumen’ and my personal favourite on this album. When I wrote the first songs for Ceresian Valot, I gradually started lowering my guard and began embracing the idea that it’s ok if some of them are reminiscent of my past. Before Ceresian Valot came into being, I was adamant that if I were ever to form a new band, it could not sound like anything that I did before. It took me a while to realise that no matter how hard I try, my personal style will always be there. After all, I wrote 99% of the instrumental parts of Ghost Brigade, so there’s no way I can escape my musical past. I finally decided to be proud of the past and let it shine through, if a song needs that, rather than trying to hide it. This makes ’Pohjavirtauksia’ into one of the backbones of ’Uumen’.”
Vokalisti Panu Perkiömäki lisää:
”Lyrically, ’Pohjavirtauksia’ is a song about sorrow and consolation. The song tells two stories: one is about a lost and depressed soul while the other speaks about Arowanas, which is a type of jumping fish that live in the Amazon river. The structure of my text is inspired by William Faulkner’s novel ’The Wild Palms’.”
