Firewindin kosketinsoittaja Bob Katsionisin tuleva soololevy julkaistaan artistin itse kehittämässä formaatissa

Kreikkalaisen power metal -bändi Firewindin kosketinsoittaja Bob Katsionis on ilmoittanut julkaisevansa uutta musiikkia. Nimeä ”Prognosis & Synopsis” kantava instrumentaalialbumi on hänen viides sooloalbuminsa ja se julkaistaan muun muassa miehen itsensä suunnittelemassa Icon-Disc-formaatissa. Albumin syntyä Blabbermouthille kommentoinut Katsionis kuvaa projektia näin:

It was a blast of inspiration — I was suddendly found with one month free in my hands after four or five years where I was constantly working in my studio, touring and recording other projects. — I decided to start my own record label Symmetric Records and finally work on the Icon-Disc project that’s been on my mind since the birth of smartphones. And, of course, play some music for my own.

Icon-Disc-julkaisuformaatti yhdistää älypuhelinsovellukseen nykyaikaisen selailevan ja perinteisen albumikeskeisen musiikin kuuntelutavan. Katsionis kuvailee ideaansa puolustaen albumimuotoon tehtyä musiikkia:
