Hollantilainen death metal -jyrä Pestilence tekee paluun

Hollantilainen death metal -legenda Pestilence  on tekemässä paluuta keikkalavoille. Yhtye hajosi vuonna 2014 yhtyeen laulaja-kitaristi Patrick Mamelin ilmoitettua bändin loppumisesta mutta nyt Mameli on ilmeisesti tullut toisiin ajatuksiin ja päättänyt jatkaa yhtyeen taivalta. Yhtyeen tämän hetkiseen kokoonpanoon kuuluvat Mamelin lisäksi Santiago Dobles (Aghora / kitara), Tony Choy (Atheist / basso) sekä Septimiu Hărşan (Disavowed / rummut). Bändin paluusta Mameli on kertonut seuraavalla samalla kun on paljastanut, että yhtye buukkailee parhaillaan keikkoja ensi vuodelle:

”Only for a few shows in Mexico was the first idea. Then it got a bit bigger. At first I was a bit hesitant, but my good friend Tony Choy convinced me that there would be people wanting to hear the golden oldies in its original form. So there will be no new material written for PESTILENCE but rather playing great tunes from ’Malleus Maleficarum’ to ’Resurrection Macabre’. No eight-string guitars. Just a nice trip down memory lane just for the fans.”
