Joseph Stevenson teki huikean sinfoniatribuutin Children Of Bodomille
Kaaoszinen toimituksen korviin kantautui YouTube-video, jossa Joseph Stevenson –niminen herra on tehnyt huikean sinfoniatribuutin melodisen death metal -bändi Children of Bodomin biiseistä. Reiluun seitsemään minuuttiin on mahdutettu pätkiä 17:sta Bodomin biisistä, muun muassa kappaleista ”Lake Bodom”, ”Everytime I Die”, ”Hate Me” ja ”Needled 24/7”. Stevenson kertoo projektistaan seuraavasti:
”This is a passion project I’ve been working on over the past month or so and I’m very happy with how it’s turned out. It’s essentially an orchestral medley of music by the band Children Of Bodom that I’ve tied together into a sort of cinematic, symphonic tribute. It occurred to me recently that much of their music does hold a certain epic neo-classical, symphonic quality that translates perfectly into an orchestral context. I also have listened to them religiously since I was 13 and I know most of their music inside out which helps!
They’re a band that have had a massive impact on me musically… Their music means a hell of lot to me and has influenced so much of my writing. I really have a lot to owe them for inspiring 14 year old me to spend hours every day practicing guitar, I certainly would not be where I am today without them.”
