Kitaristi George Lynch: ”Dokkenin klassinen kokoonpano saattaa tehdä uuden paluun vuonna 2018”
Legendaarinen kitaristi George Lynch on hiljattain kertonut, että Dokkenin klassinen kokoonpano keskustelee lisäesitysten järjestämisestä vuodelle 2018. Kitaristi lähti laulaja Don Dokkenin, basisti Jeff Pilsonin ja rumpali Mich Brownin kanssa kuusipäiväiselle Japanin kiertueelle edellisenä syksynä. Paluukiertueen jälkeen laulaja Don painotti voimakkaasti videohaastattelussa, ettei Dokken tee enää koskaan uutta paluuta.
Bändi on julkaisemassa vielä tämän vuoden aikana DVD:n Japanin paluukiertueestaan.
Tuoreessa Eddie Trunk-ohjelmassa kitaristi George Lynch kommentoi mahdollisuudesta, että Dokken nähtäisiin sittenkin vielä yhdessä. Hän ei suostunut kertomaan tarkempia yksityiskohtia, mutta mahdolliset esiintymiset nähtäisiin vuonna 2018. Lynchiltä kysyttiin onko klasssnen kokoonpanon paluu täysi mahdottomuus:

”Well, it’s never completely out of the question. We are talking about doing something in 2018. I would love for it to happen.”’
”I can’t talk about it, but there is a little bit of something going on.”
2016 vuoden paluusta Lynch kertoi haastattelussa:
”It went well, but it wasn’t without its challenges.”

Basisti Jeff Pilson kertoi Trunk Nationille Japanin kiertueesta:
”[It was] very, very drama-free; I was kind of surprised — very pleasantly so. It was a great time,” he said. ”We actually had a lot of fun. We connected on a friendship level that I wasn’t really expecting, to be honest with you, and it was great. I mean, it was really, really fun — much more so than I was expecting.”

Pilson kommentoi fanien reaktiota
”It was pretty spectacular. You could feel it. We would meet-and-greets for a lot of people that were… It was a wonderfully warm feeling, and you could feel it all the way through the crowd. And I’ve gotta say, it was really great.”
