Kornin Brian ‘Head’ Welch: ”Bring Me The Horizon edustaa rockin tulevaisuutta”

Yhdysvaltalainen metalliyhtye Korn julkaisee uuden ”The Serenity Of Suffering” -nimisen albuminsa lokakuun 21. päivä RoadRunner Recordsin kautta. Yhtyeen kitaristit Brian ”Head” Welch sekä James ”Munky” Shaffer ovat antaneet hiljattain albumiin liittyen haastattelun Alternative Pressille, jossa heiltä on kysytty rockin tulevaisuudesta. Brian Welch on haastattelussa sanonut pitävänsä Bring Me The Horizonin tuotannosta ja todennut samaisessa yhteydessä bändin edustavan rockin tulevaisuutta. “I think rock music is evolving, but it’s hurting in some ways too, so when some band comes out it’s exciting and everyone is like oh did you hear this band… so we try to keep up with it like that.”

“I love almost every record from Bring Me The Horizon and to see their evolution and their early stuff is so heavy but where they’re headed is just so fresh and new. I’m a big fan of that band.” James ‘Munky’ Shaffer added.

“You know, when you think of what bands, when we get all gray haired and we just kinda play less or whatever, or hang it up one day… when I think of bands who can take that slot in headlining… Bring Me The Horizon is like number one for me.” Welch said.

“If Bring Me The Horizon would have come out ten years ago, twelve years ago, their album would be like five times platinum. Guaranteed.”
