Nidingr julkaisee uutta materiaalia helmikuussa – albumin tiedot julki
Black-, death- ja thrash metalia musiikkiinsa yhdistelevä norjalaisyhtye Nidingr on ilmoittanut julkaisevansa neljännen albuminsa helmikuun 10. päivä Indie Recordingsin ja Season of Mistin kautta. Norjan mytologiaa käsittelevä ”The High Heat Licks Against Heaven” sisältää kaikkiaan kymmenen kappaletta, joiden eteen yhtye on tehnyt kovasti työtä parin vuoden ajan. Nidingrin on perustanut vuonna 1996 veljensä kanssa muun muassa Mayhemin ja Gorgorothin kitaristina tunnettu Morten ”Teloch” Iversen.
”In 2005 we got tired of singing ourselves, so we got Estrella Grasa to do the vocals on our previous album “Sorrow Infinite And Darkness”. There has never been any viral plans within this band, other than making some cool tunes, and maybe occasionally some gigs”

Tulevaa julkaisua mies kommentoi seuraavasti:
”For Nidingr, making an album is a very personal and honest thing that takes a toll on everyone involved. We must be true to an idea and execute it. We do not fuck around.
”As usual Nidingr experiments with new elements on this album too. The goal was to simplify things without losing quality and still keep the elements that Nidingr is known for, which is a challenge by itself.

The 7 string guitar is still a big part of the Nidingr sound, as it has been since the first full album in 2005. As always this is the best Nidingr album to date.”
Vokalisti Cpt. Estrella Grasa jatkoi:

With lyrics taken from old Norway’s mythical past and Teloch’s infernal compositions, ’The High Heat Licks Against Heaven’ will set a new standards for what is possible within the genre.”
