Nightwishin Tuomas Holopainen: ”Toivoisin tämän kokoonpanon pysyvän kasassa bändin loppuun asti”
Kotimainen sinfonista metallia soittava Nightwish on parhaillaan tauolla työstämässä materiaalia seuraavaa albumiaan varten, jonka julkaisu tulee tapahtumaan vuoden 2020 alkupuolella. Yhtyeen kosketinsoittaja Tuomas Holopainen on antanut hiljattain haastattelun Rock Hard Slovakialle, jossa Tuomakselta on kysytty mikä olisi hänen hartain toiveensa bändiin liittyen. Tuomas on haastattelussa todennut toivovansa bändin nykyisen kokoonpanon pysyvän kasassa, ettei bändin tarvisi enää läpikäydä jäsenmuutoksia uransa aikana. Haastattelussa Tuomas on myös todennut yhtyeen aikovan todennäköisesti keikkailevan vähemmän tulevaisuudessa, jotta bändillä säilyisi mielenkiinto keikkailua kohtaan. ”Consistency would be really nice. I couldn’t take another member leaving the band anymore. So I hope that this is gonna be the lineup until the very end. I also think that the touring schedule in the future is not gonna be quite so busy as it has been in the past two decades… To keep the whole thing interesting for the band and also for the people. You don’t wanna be there all the time, be active all the time and tour everywhere all the time. You have to look at the big picture as well. If you want this band to still be around in 2030, you have to keep the spark. When you were 20 years old, it was, like, ’Give it all now. Let’s do everything. I don’t care.’ But after all this time, you have to give it some more consideration.”
