Pantera ottaa paluunsa vakavasti: Pestasi Dimebag Darrellin entisen kitarateknikon mukaan kiertueelle
Kuten moni jo tietää, metallilegenda Pantera ilmoitti palaavansa kiertueen merkeissä vuonna 2023. Lisäksi yhtye julkisti hetki sitten, että se esiintyy kolmella eri Knotfestesteilla joulukuussa 2022. Panteran kokoonpanoon vuonna 2022 kuuluvat laulaja Phil Anselmo, basisti Rex Brown sekä Black Label Societyn kitaristi Zakk Wylde ja Anthrax-rumpali Charlie Benante.
Yhtye tuntuu ottavan tulevan paluukiertueen erittäin tosissaan sillä kiertueelle mukaan on pestattu edesmenneen Dimebag Darrellin pitkäaikainen kitarateknikko Grady Champion. Champion on kirjoittanut aiheesta Instagramiin pitkän kirjoituksen kertoen hänen tehtävänsä olevan varmistaa, että kitarat ovat Dimebagille tyypillisissä vireissä ja hän tuo lisäksi kiertueelle mukanaan Rita Haneyn (Dimebagin leski) siunauksella Dimebagille kuuluneita kitaroita sekä tarvikkeita.

[Dimebag’s widow Rita Haney] has allowed me access to some of Dime’s gear and i’m bringing it for Zakk. I’m not his tech, he has a bad ass, long-time one. Bändi julkaisi hiljattain sosiaalisessa mediassa lyhyen videotrailerin, jolla yhtye kasvattaa jännitystä ennen paluutaan. Trailerilla todetaan ”For the brothers, for the fans, for the legacy” eli suomeksi ”Veljesten, fanien ja perinnön vuoksi”.
