qotsapromoQueens Of The Stone Age -kitaristi Troy Van Leeuwen antoi hiljattain 2 Hours With Matt Pinfield -podcastille haastattelun, jossa hän kertoi mm. uudesta Gone Is Gone -superkokoonpanostaan, kiertueesta Iggy Popin kanssa sekä A Perfect Circlen kanssa nauhoittamisesta ja soittamisesta. Hän kommentoi myös seuraavan Queens Of The Stone Age -albumin edistymistä:

“We’ve already started talking about what we’re gonna do next for the next Queensrecord. There’s tons of ideas that are bouncing around. I mean we’re going to do something before the end of the year I’m sure, as far as recording. Because i think we’re excited to get back together to follow-up “…Like Clockwork“, which was a really, really big record for us, personally. It was a big record for us cause it was the hardest record to make. And we’re trying to not do that again. We just want to keep things simpler and try that I guess.”

Lisäksi Leeuwen kertoi tälle viikolle tarkoitettujen Gone Is Gone -keikojen peruuntuneen jäsenten välisten aikatauluongelmien vuoksi. Yhtyeen saman niminen debyyttialbumi ilmestyi aiemmin heinäkuussa, ja Leeuwenin lisäksi kokoonpanossa vaikuttavat Mastodonista tuttu kitaristi / vokalisti Troy Sanders sekä At The Drive-In -yhtyeestä tuttu rumpali Tony Hajjar.
