Six Feet Underin laulaja Chris Barnes nimesi omat suosikkialbuminsa death metalin saralta
Yhdysvaltalaisessa death metal -yhtye Six Feet Underissa nykyisin laulava Chris Barnes on paljastanut Jonathan Montenegron tuoreessa kolmen kysymyksen videohaastattelussa kolme omaa suosikkialbumiaan death metalin historiasta. Barnes nosti haastattelussa omiksi suosikeikseen Possessedin vuonna 1985 julkaistun ”Seven Churches” -albumin, joka lasketaan usein yhdeksi alkuaikojen death metalin merkittävimmistä albumeista. Muita valintoja Barnesilta olivat Deathin ”Leprosy”, ”Spiritual Healing” sekä ”Scream Bloody Gore” -albumi sekä Obituaryn ”Slowly We Rot”.
Omasta tuotannostaan Barnes nosti suosikikseen Cannibal Corpsen kanssa tekemänsä ”Butchered At Birth” -albumin. Voit lukea mitä kerrottavaa Barnesilla oli aiheesta tästä:

“If I have to throw a fourth one in there, I’m gonna have to say ”Butchered At Birth” [by Cannibal Corpse from the Barnes era]. You know, pat myself on the back. That was a huge album in death metal as far as our kind of twist on the whole thing. I think it influenced a lot of people just as Possessed influenced a lot of bands to move in a certain direction.”
