Soilworkin vokalisti kertoo yhtyeen päätöksestä soittaa tuleva Euroopan kiertue
Ruotsalainen melodista metallia soittavan Soilworkin vokalisti Björn ”Speed” Strid on antanut hiljattain haastattelun australialaiselle Sticks For Stones -nimiselle verkkolehdelle, jossa Björnilta on kysytty mielipidettä yhtyeen päätöksestä soittaa tuleva Euroopan kiertue Euroopassa vallitsevista terroristiuhkista riippumatta. ”Not really. I mean, obviously, I would lie if I said that I’m not worried. But we came to the conclusion… I mean, the security so high right now in Europe… And, I mean, obviously, it’s still scary, but… We feel like if we just cancel this tour, what’s gonna happen next year? It might as well happen two years from now. You never know. So there’s no way you can really defend yourself from it except just to keep the show running, I guess. That being said, I definitely respect people canceling as well — I do understand. I don’t know… I mean, we’re also on a different level. We can’t really afford just canceling tours. We just came off a direct-support tour in North America to SOULFLY, and when you’re the direct support, you normally don’t end up with that much money to live with, so that’s another factor. We need to keep going. This is our job, and we’re not gonna let that affect us. As much as it scares us, we need to keep the show going.”
