Stoner punk –yhtye Bokassan basisti Bård Linga ilmoittaa lähtevänsä bändistä

Norjalaisen Bokassan Instagramissa kerrotaan basisti Bård Lingan päättäneen jättää yhtyeen seitsemän vuoden jälkeen. Bändin jäsenet kertovat ymmärtävänsä ja tukevansa Lingan päätöstä, sekä toivovansa tälle pelkkää hyvää tulevaisuudessa. He myös kiittävät basistiaan menneistä vuosista. Instagram-päivityksen yhteydessä on Bård Lingan kirjoittama tiedote koskien hänen eroaan yhtyeestä. Se kuuluu seuraavasti: 

“Dear Bokassa fans, 
 
it is with a heavy heart that I’m letting you know that, due to the strains of an active touring life, 
as well as other things in both my professional and private life needing more time and attention 
than I’m currently able to provide, I will soon be stepping down from my position as bass player 
of the greatest rock band of Norway, Bokassa. 
 
I’m truly sad to let you all down, but after long contemplation I’ve found this to be the right 
choice for myself and for the structural integrity of my own well-being. I also want to emphasize 
that I am on good terms with the rest of the band, who have shown an immense amount of 
understanding in regards to my choice. I am extremely thankful for the time I’ve been allowed to 
spend with you all and all of the great moments we’ve shared. 
 
The exact date of my departure has not yet been decided, as I aim to make the transition to a 
new bass player as smooth as I can, so I will more than likely be playing more shows in the 
coming months. To everyone else, I hope to catch you on the flip side, as I will definitely keep 
showing up to Bokassa shows, just not on stage!
