The Raven Age julkaisi uuden biisin, kuuntele ”The Day The World Stood Still”
Brittibändi The Raven Age on julkaissut uuden biisinsä nimeltä ”The Day The World Stood Still”. Biisi on yhtyeen neljäs laulaja Matt Jamesin kanssa. Aiemmin julkaistuja biisejä ovat ”Surrogate”, ”Betrayal Of The Mind” sekä ”Fleur De Lis”, ja yhtyeen toinen albumi ”Conspiracy” julkaistaan 8. maaliskuuta.
The Raven Age julkaisi kriitikoiden arvostaman debyyttialbuminsa ”Darkness Will Rise” vuonna 2016. Se huomioitiin myös Metal Hammerissa ja Planet Rockissa, joissa yhtye palkittiin parhaana uutena bändinä ja kiinnitettiin useille isoille festareille kuten Bloodstockiin, Hellfestiin, Wacken Open Airiin ja Downloadiin.

Bändi levittää edelleen siipiään hioen identiteettiään ja soundiaan. Yhtyeeseen lisätty laulaja Matt James ja kitaristi Tony Maue tuovat uuden ulottuvuuden bändin biiseihin. He ovat luoneet uuden The Raven Age -aikakauden.
George Harris kertoo seuraavaa: ”We’re so proud of it. It’s definitely keeping within the spirit of the band but we’ve really expanded what we can do and delved into new topics and sounds. A lot of that is to do with what MJ has brought to the band. With him on board we’ve grown enormously from the first album.”
Tuleva levy on toinen osa yhtyeen tarinaa, ja kokonaisuus viittaa siihen, mitä bändistä voi vielä tulla ja mistä The Raven Agessa on kyse. Se on luonut kokonaan oman taiteellisen tyylinsä kirjoittaessaan omaa perintöään.

”I’ve always been fascinated by the legend of the ravens of the Tower of London”, George jatkaa. ”The fact that the collective noun for ravens is a Conspiracy really inspired the album, the title and the artwork around it. In this fantasy world the ravens are actually being held captive at the Tower, they aren’t there of their own accord. Their wings have been clipped and they’re prisoners of the Tower to keep Britain from falling. This record develops the story with all sorts of twists and tangents.”
