Korpiklaani julkaisi uuden kappaleen
Kotimaamme kenties tunnetuin folk metal -yhtye Korpiklaani on julkaissut uuden kappaleen lyriikkavideon kera. ”Lempo”-niminen kappale on yhtyeen tulevalta ”Noita”-albumilta, joka julkaistaan 1.5.2015 Nuclear Blast recordsin kautta.
KORPIKLAANI are set to release their new album Noita, May 5th in North America via Nuclear Blast. Jan Yrlund, of Darkgrove Design, created the artwork. Yrlund has created all the KORPIKLAANI artwork in recent years and once again has come up with another masterpiece.

Commented Fiddler Tuomas Rounakari: ”Lempo is a fiery God of fertility and the song is about the spells designated to Lempo in order to guarantee a success in one’s personal love life. The Finnish mythology is very unique in its approach to sexuality. We do not have spells to improve procreation like most of the cultures do. But the spells to gain more luck in love life or to increase ones stamina are numerous for both men and women. Lempo is also closely related to fire and one could see the hair of Lempo flashing in the red and yellow flames of fire. The song is a prime example of the new KORPIKLAANI sound with a lead guitar like violin solo and more prominent folk arrangements. It takes a step towards progressive rock balancing the folk and metal in a way Jonne has always dreamed it to be.”
In addition to their recently announced North American tour dates with Ensiferum, KORPIKLAANI has announced a run of North American Headline shows with Trollfest providing direct support. These dates begin April 28th in Charlotte, NC and run through May 5th in San Diego, CA. The two bands will then join up with co-headliner Ensiferum May 6th in Los Angeles, CA. The tour then crosses the country and wraps up May 29th in New York, NY.

It is also the first KORPIKLAANI album to feature new accordion player Sami Perttula. Perttula’s joining the band has added another dimension in the band’s folk arrangements alongside Fiddler Tuomas Rounakari.
