Matt Heafyn Ibaraki-projektin uudella ”Akumu” -singlellä vierailee Behemothin Nergal

Triviumin laulaja-kitaristi Matthew Kiichi Heafy julkaisi Ibaraki-projektinsa tiimoilta uuden ”Akumu”-kappaleen, jolla vierailee Behemothin laulaja Nergal. Ibaraki julkaisee ”Ashomon”-debyyttialbumin toukokuun 6. päivä Nuclear Blast Recordsin kautta.

Kuukausi sitten ilmestyi ”Tamashii No Houkai” -single, jolla vierailee Ihsahn Emperor-yhtyeestä.

”Akumu” tarkoittaa painajaista, ja Heafy kirjoitti kappaleen yhdessä Ihsahnin kanssa. Nergal puolestaan käänsi lyriikat puolan kielelle, ja se toi kappaleen eri tasolle.

”’Akumu’ translates to ’nightmare’ — and with this piece, I encourage the listener to work to find their interpretations of what they feel from the lyrics, music, and the haunting visuals of the music video. Having Nergal guest in this Ihsahn co-written piece allowed me to combine many of my long-time influences; and when I presented with Nergal of the challenge of translating my lyrics into Polish, it brought the song to another level.”
