metallicaThrash metallin kiistaton kuningas Metallica on juuri julkistanut ensimmäiset ja ilmeisesti ainoat vahvistetut keikkansa Eurooppaan vuodelle 2017. Yhtye tulee esiintymään 3. sekä 5. päivä helmikuuta Royal Arenassa Kööpenhaminassa Tanskassa. Voit katsoa yhtyeen julkaiseman virallisen tiedotteen keikasta tästä:

”We are incredible proud and happy that it’s possible to get the world’s biggest metal band to test the steel in the new Royal Arena with a massive bang of a pair of opening concerts! The joy only gets bigger as it’s one of Denmark’s biggest international musical profiles that personally wanted to be part of the event and to celebrate and consecrate Copenhagen’s new arena.

On 18 November, the band will release their tenth studio album ”Hard Wired … To Self-Destruct”. ”Hardwired … To Self-¬Destruct” is the follow up to ”Death Magnetic” from 2008, which topped the charts worldwide. The new album is produced by Greg Fidelman, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, and when Metallica is coming to Royal Arena in February, it will be the first opportunity for fans to hear the band’s new material live in Europe, and Metallica will deliver a ”one off” show, for the occasion.

Lars Ulrich:

”Metallica will open the new arena! We’re very much looking forward to that. We are proud and grateful to be the first band through the doors, to open the new arena, and it’s been a while since we’ve been to Denmark, in Horsens a couple of years ago, so we’re extra extra excited to come back to my mother country and play our new songs from the upcoming album. See you at the opening of the new Copenhagen Royal Arena”

Thomas Johansson, Chairman International Music Live Nation “It is fantastic for us to welcome Metallica for the opening of the Royal Arena” ”When a worldwide known name as Metallica goes a few extra miles to open Royal Arena with a unique couple of concerts, it immediately ranks Copenhagen’s new arena in the global elite. We are both proud and humbled by the band’s gesture”, says Dan Hammer, CEO of Royal Arena.
