Kornilla valmiina noin kolmannes tulevasta albumista

Yhdysvaltalaisen metalliyhtye Kornin kitaristi James ”Munky” on antanut hiljattain Billboardille haastattelun, jossa mies on paljastanut yhtyeellä olevan noin kolmannes valmiina tulevaa albumiaan varten. Munky on tarjonnut seuraavanlaisen päivityksen liittyen yhtyeen tulevaan albumiin:

”I’d say we’re about a third of the way done. We wrote about 20 songs and about 10 of those we’ve kept and made better. I think we’re gonna need to go back in and write another batch of songs and then fine-tune those into four, five really great songs. There’s no rush, which feels great. It’s time to take a little extra time and make a great album. I think it’s time to solidify our legacy, ’cause I’m really proud of it.”

Yhtyeen toinen kitaristi Brian ”Head” Welch on puolestaan antanut hiljattain haastattelun Loudwirelle, jossa on kertonut toivovansa yhtyeen kirjoittavan kokoajan vain raskaampia kappaleita. Voit lukea Headin ajatuksia puolestaan tästä:

“Munky, Ray, Fieldy we’ve been getting into the studio writing some riffs so we’re poking away at that. I’m a metalhead so I keep saying I think this album is going to be heavier. I just want heavier all the time. That’s what I’m leaning towards, that’s what I’m writing and we’re poking away. We have these dates, so in between these dates… Munky just had a baby, so we’re going into the studio when we can, but I think after this tour it’s going to really pick up, the first of the year next year, but we want to keep going.”
